CHIEF COMMISSIONER’S MESSAGE
Over the past year, the Commission continued its work administering The Saskatchewan Human Rights Code, 2018 while advancing important efforts to strengthen the effectiveness, accessibility, and responsiveness of Saskatchewan’s human rights system. As Chief Commissioner, I have remained focused on a simple principle: the success of a human rights system should not be measured by the amount of activity it generates, but by its ability to provide fair, timely, and meaningful outcomes for the people it serves.

OUR PROCESS
The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission is commited to providing the highest quality of service to the people of Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission is an independent statutory body established under The Saskatchewan Human Rights Code, 2018.
The Commission’s legal team uses litigation and Directed Mediation to settle complaints.
The Commission uses mediation as an effective means to resolve complaints and achieve appropriate resolutions that meet the needs of the parties.
The Commission uses systemic advocacy to address discrimination that is known to, or has the potential to, affect groups of people based on protected grounds.
PUBLIC EDUCATION
The Commission informs citizens about their rights, how they are protected by law, and provides information to reduce errors that lead to breaches of the Code.
